A cat rescued from fire now take care of other animals in a pet hospital.

A cat named Russel survived a house fire and suffered 3rd-degree burns which resulted in an amputation. The poor cat is still hospitalized because of the other injuries and needs continuous care. But Russel doesn’t want his troubles to feel him down so he shares love with the other patient at the hospital.

In North Carolina, at the Animal Emergency Hospital & Urgent care, he helps the staff to visit the other animal in their rooms and soothe them. It doesn’t matter to Russel if he has a difficulty in his movements because he is tackling and tireless. He is not taking a break unless the hospital staff encourages him. We don’t know if Russel can sense that other animals are in pain too. He really loves and enjoys being with the other animals and giving them companionship.

“He wants to meet all our patients. He just wants to be with them, I don’t know if he can sense that other animals are in pain, but he does seem to have some weird knack for connecting with patients.” one of the hospital staff said.

Although Russel is not yet fully recovered and recently had to have his feet operated on and the donations have made it possible to stay at the pet hospital full-time because there, he can feel loved and appreciated by the people and other animals that surround him.

“I think he helps other animals who are suffering in pain. We are a clinic so I’m sure he helps to reduce their stress” Hospital staff said.

The adorable cat proved that everyone needs love and care, especially when they are having a rough time or dark moments. That’s why Russel becomes a big star in the clinic because everyone wants to see him and wants to be with him.

We are hoping for Russel’s fully recover so he can visit the other animals and spend his time with them anytime he wants.
